Belgium eases many COVID-19 restrictions and rules

As of today, Belgium is releasing a large part of the coronavirus measures. Cafes and restaurants can decide for themselves until what time they stay open, customers no longer have to keep distance from each other and everyone can go back to the office. People are also allowed to decide how many people they receive at home.

Mouth masks in public places, such as in public transport and in shops, remain mandatory. Café and restaurant visitors should also wear a mask when walking around.

Only in Brussels will all measures remain in force for the time being. The Belgian capital is less advanced with vaccinations than the rest of the country and the number of infections in Brussels does not allow for relaxation, says the city council.
