Google is most unlikely source of privacy, but here it is: Google VPN comes to Belgium

A Google VPN service called Google One, a VPN is coming to Belgium. With a VPN (Virtual Private Network) you can browse without using your IP address. This allows you to arm yourself against hackers, but actually watch streaming content that is only aimed at another country.

Google One VPN allows you to browse, stream and download content in a secure and personal way. This can be useful, for example, if you are using a public Wi-Fi connection, such as an airport or a coffee shop. Moreover, you are less likely to be tracked online because you can hide your IP address with a VPN like this.

Many people use VPNs not only for security, but also for convenience, for example to view us content or access location-based game streams from their favorite streaming service. Google One VPN is the only provider because there are so many. However, it was initially only available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Germany.

Google also writes about cybersecurity in ads: “protecting your privacy starts with the latest digital security. That’s why we help keep our products safe by default and keep your data safe with personalized recommendations for simple and personal security verification to protect your Google account. So whether you’re browsing the internet, managing your inbox, or sharing holiday photos, we’ll protect you with automated security built into our products.
