A group of 300 to 400 Belgians will soon be inoculated with a Chinese vaccine. They have signed up for a test with the vaccine, according to Belgian media.
Clover Biopharmaceuticals from China would be the first company to apply to test a vaccine in Belgium. The Ethics Committee and the Federal Medicines Agency have yet to approve the application. The pharmaceutical company hopes to start the clinical trial in the second half of March.
Large-scale vaccination in Belgium with a Chinese vaccine is not on the agenda for the time being, because Europe does not allow it for now.
