Reporters on the spot, analysis and interpretation all night long: that’s how you experience the American elections

On Tuesday, the Americans will elect the new president of the United States. Will Donald Trump win again, or will Joe Biden win the White House? It promises to be a very exciting race.

On Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 November, all our news and information programs will be devoted to the American elections. As always, we will be there on November 3 with Het Journaal at 1 pm and at 7 pm on One. At 9.35 pm, Danira Boukhriss Terkessidis looks ahead to an exciting night in Today. From 8 pm you can watch special America editions of Terzake and De Afspraak on Canvas.
All night long

The tension really rises when the ballot boxes in the United States close one by one and the first results start rolling in. Starting with an extra long edition of Het Journaal Laat at 10:45 pm with Fatma Taspinar.

From midnight to 4am, Riadh Bahri presents live from the web studio. You can view it on our website, Facebook or on One. Numerous guests pass by, we call Flemish people in the US and we go live to our American correspondents. Bram Vandeputte keeps an eye on all social media channels for you all night long. An important tweet from Trump? He spotted him.

From 4 to 10 in the morning we are there with a marathon broadcast of Het Journaal with Hanne Decoutere. America expert Bert De Vroey assists her with interpretation and analysis. Professor of International Politics at KU Leuven, Bart Kerremans, among others, comes by as a studio guest and we go live to our reporters on site.
