Rioting in Brussels after world cup upset

The Zuidlaan in downtown Brussels is the
scene of rioting this evening after Morocco thrashed Belgium 2-0 at the world
cup in Qatar.  Police have asked the
public to avoid the area to allow blue light services to do their work.

Brussels police were well-prepared for
potential rioting today and this is a preparation that had stood them in good
stead. Vandals have set electric scooters alight. Several cars have been
damaged and shop windows have been shattered.
